Weeklyphoto 09.01.2006


This scene is either very familiar to you or it looks completely odd. No, it's not some sort of emergency urban pedicure. This is what happens at the end of most running races these days, the clipping off of your electronic timing chip that records when you cross the start and finish lines. This was from last weekend's inaugural New York City Half-Marathon. I carried my camera the whole 13.1 miles taking pictures, but this one, at the end, was the most interesting to me. The more chips in the bucket the slower you are! I was slow...
